There was an article in a Scottish newspaper last week about a dispute over a 40cm tract of land.
The two parties now pensioners had spent £500k in legal costs over 20 years arguing about this and at one point even coming to blows.
The article did not mention if mediation had ever been considered.
£500,000 would buy a lot of mediation time and a day or even several days would have been a small investment in trying to move the negotiations forward.
So Don’t Wait- mediate! Sooner is better
